Fiskeauktion Danmark A/S - Gilleleje
- he fisherman lands the fish in Gilleleje Harbour, where they are classified and stored.
- The auctioneer ensures that all the necessary information about the fish sold on that day is available online at least 1 hour before the auction starts. The auction always starts at 7.00 am for fish and again at 10.00 am for Norwegian lobsters in the lobster season. (Occasionally, Norwegian lobsters are also sold at 7.00, which is notified on Pefa.)
- When the auction begins, all buyers in the network can bid for the fish via their Internet connection.
- Once the fish have been sold, the buyer is responsible for transport from the auction.
- The buyer must still check the fish in the harbour where they were landed.
- However, a highly stringent classification system ensures that all buyers who don’t have a chance to check the fish, still get the quality of fish they require from the auction, see “Procedures”.
